Discussion questions to help you unpack the message with others.
- Messi or Ronaldo? If you’re unsure what those words even mean, who is your favorite player from any sport from the past or present?
- What stood out to you most from the message?
- Kyle told us the reason Joseph is in the hall of faith is not because of the amazing things he did in his life, but because of the faith he had in God’s promise to bring the Israelites back to the land of Israel. What’s your reaction to that idea?
- If “present work is driven by future vision,” what is your time/energy/focus currently pointing to? How would you describe the vision you have for your life?
- Be honest. Do you have more of a “hell in a hand basket” view of this life, OR a Kingdom of heaven view? What are some experiences you’ve had that make you feel that way?
- Read Hebrews 11:13-16. What kind of “heavenly things” do you long to see on earth that probably won’t happen in your lifetime? What about those things in particular feels personal to you?
- We have to GO to GROW. When was the last time you were pushed to GO and take a step in faith. How did it go?
- Read Hebrews 11:1. What’s one step of faith you could take this week?
Prayer
Let’s end our time praying together. You can say something like, “God, thank you for giving us vision for our lives and beyond. Help us to hear your voice and trust in you when you ask us to walk in faith. Keep our eyes open to how we can bring more of your Kingdom to earth. In the identity and character of Jesus we pray, amen.”
