How God Can Use You To Impact Others

Watch on

Discussion questions to help you unpack the message with others.
  1. When was the last time someone else changed your life for the better? How did they do it?
  2. What stood out to you most from the message?
  3. Think of someone who you feel has represented God to you in some way? How did that influence your view of God? If you can’t think of anyone, what types of characteristics would you look for in someone representing God?
  4. What does it mean to you to be God’s representative now? What might that look like in your life?
  5. What can make being God’s representative challenging?
  6. What helps you focus on caring for the people around you? What distracts you from investing in those relationships?
  7. What is one way you can intentionally invest in the needs and feelings of someone else this week?

Prayer

Let’s end with prayer. You can say something like, “Jesus, thank you for the ways you’ve changed our lives. Help us to be more like you so that the people around us can see more of you. Help us to focus on others, the same way You did. Amen.”

Bonus Questions

Check these out if you’re on a roll and want to go a little deeper.
  1. What barriers do you have to sharing your story with others?
  2. Who comes to mind as someone who might be open to hearing your story? When and how could you share it with them?
  3. Practice now. Have someone set a timer for 3 minutes, and everyone gets to practice sharing a story of where Jesus has shown up in your life.
